This week, Griffith Park had a close call—an arson-caused fire near Glendower Avenue and below the Griffith Observatory. Thanks to the quick actions of our brave firefighters and park rangers, it was extinguished in minutes.
Incidents like this, not to mention the current wildfires, remind us of the incredible work our first responders do everyday. Our community has a proud history of supporting them, including a donation to Fire Station 35 that LFIA, with the help of the Los Feliz community, made last year.
The need continues. If you’re inspired to give, please consider donating:
- Directly to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation (select “LAFD Fire Station 35” in the drop-down menu if you want to support our local fire house, or choose another area of need).
- Or, if you prefer, you may donate through LFIA, where your gift will benefit Station 35—our local heroes.
Every contribution makes a difference.
Thank you for standing with our firefighters to keep Griffith Park and Los Angeles safe.
LFIA is tax-exempt as a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code. In accordance with IRS regulations, please note that since no goods or services were offered in exchange for your contribution, it will be fully tax deductible to the maximum extent of the law as of the date of your donation.
