It is with great sadness that the Los Feliz Improvement Association shares the passing of Tony Fanara, the beloved owner of Palermo Italian Restaurant and a true pillar of the Los Feliz community.

For decades, Tony welcomed neighbors through the doors of Palermo’s with warmth, generosity, and genuine kindness. Beyond the restaurant, he was an unwavering supporter of our community, always ready to lend a hand. Whether donating meals to our local fire stations, supporting neighborhood events, or quietly giving back in countless ways, Tony embodied the spirit of Los Feliz.

Palermo’s has long been more than a restaurant. It has been a gathering place where friendships were formed, milestones were celebrated, and generations of Angelenos felt at home. Through Tony’s generosity, hospitality, and steadfast commitment to our neighborhood, he helped shape the character and heart of Los Feliz.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the Fanara family, the entire Palermo’s team, and all who knew and loved Tony. His kindness, generosity, and enduring commitment to this community will not be forgotten.

The Los Feliz Improvement Association is deeply grateful for Tony’s years of friendship, generosity, and dedication to our neighborhood. His legacy will always be a part of Los Feliz.
