Film Historian To Speak On RKO Studios at Los Feliz

Professor and film historian Richard B. Jewell, author of the new book, “RKO Radio Pictures: A Titan Is Born,” will be the featured speaker at the Architecture & Beyond Lecture Series
Thursday, Oct. 18, 6:45-7:45 p.m. at the Los Feliz Library, 1874 Hillhurst Ave., Los Angeles.
Jewell will discuss the early history of the Hollywood studio that produced such classics as King Kong, Citizen Kane and the Fred Astaire-Ginger Rogers musicals.
A resident of Los Feliz, Jewell holds the Hugh M. Hefner Chair for the Study of American Cinema at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts.
Skylight Books will be on hand to sell Jewell’s book for signing.
