Author Henrietta E. Mosley will give a history of the Point Fermin Lighthouse in San Pedro at the Architecture&Beyond Lecture Series Thursday, March 19, 6:45-7:45 p.m. at the Los Feliz Library, 1874 Hillhurst Ave.
Mosley’s book, “Point Fermin Lighthouse Families 1874-1927,” traces the engaging story of how the lives of the members of four lighthouse families were shaped by their surroundings and the historical events of their times. It is based on correspondence, memoirs, newspaper accounts, census records and other archival materials.
The author’s book grew out of eight years of experience as a researcher and docent for the Point Fermin Lighthouse Society. With degrees from Stanford (History) and UCLA (Law), Mosley is a former teacher and lawyer living in Manhattan Beach.
Skylight Bookstore will be on hand for the selling and signing of the book.
The free lecture series, now in its 11th year, is supported by the Friends of the Los Feliz Library and merchants of the Los Feliz BID.
