The Los Feliz Improvement Association will be saluting Los Feliz military veterans, past and present, at the annual Photo Day Saturday, November 1, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Los Feliz Library, 1874 Hillhurst Avenue.
To honor these men and women veterans, LFIA’s History Committee is collecting photos of residents who have served in all branches of the armed services.
This event is being held in conjunction with the library’s special salute to veterans during the month of November.
Marian Dodge, co-chair of the History Committee that oversees the Photo Archive, said “Some of my favorite photos in our archive are ones we have of vets. The pictures become a great way to tell a story.”
The History Committee asks that members of the military, past and present, or their families bring photos of men and women in uniform to the library. Photos will be scanned on the spot and returned. Or if anyone prefers e-mailing photos, send to donalds261@aol.com.
Complimentary tea and pastries will be provided by the Los Feliz Friends of the Library and the D.A.R. at the event.
