LFIA presented our local Fire Station 35 with a check for $30,023.80 this week!
A few months ago LFIA reached out to the Los Feliz community to help us raise funds for much-needed improvements to Station 35 living quarters. Neighborhood response was overwhelming.
The 20-plus firefighters who protect Los Feliz live at the station for four days at a time, rotating shifts, in deplorable conditions. When LFIA toured the station we were shown falling ceiling tiles, windows that don’t open, often-non-functioning air conditioning in their second-story dormitory, and other overdue maintenance. With this gift, Station 35 can start to address the most urgent repairs.
