REMINDER: UPCOMING CONSTRUCTION ALONG CRYSTAL SPRINGS DRIVE

Rec and Parks has been working with a traffic engineer and CD4 to explore solutions in Griffith Park to curb speeding cars and cut-through traffic from the freeways. To that end, from July 9 through August 20, there will be heavy construction on Crystal Springs Dr. from Los Feliz Blvd. to Griffith Park Dr. During this time, the roads will remain open, although there may be delays. Cyclists, runners and walkers WILL NOT be permitted in these areas during construction for safety reasons and will need to use an alternative route.

APPRECIATION FOR A LOS FELIZ HISTORIC DISCTRICT

LFIA supported the application for the Winona Boulevard Mid-Century Modern Historic District to be added to the National Register of Historic Places. This stretch of Winona (between Franklin and Hollywood) is a cohesive set of MCM multi-family buildings. The application was written by LFIA History Committee member James Dastoli and was approved earlier this year. The Winona District was recently highlighted by Etan Does LA, a blogger on a mission to visit all of the LA County landmarks listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Read more about this special slice of Los Feliz HERE.
