Curator Jeffrey Herr will talk on “Beyond Botox: Hollyhock House Revitalized” at the Architecture&Beyond Lecture Series, Thursday, May 15, 6:45-7:45 p.m. at the Los Feliz Library, 1874 Hillhurst Ave.
The Frank Lloyd Wright-designed house in Los Feliz has undergone extensive restoration and is scheduled for re-opening in late summer or early fall.
Herr is curator and preservation specialist for the City of Los Angeles’ Department of Cultural Affairs and is responsible for the care of both the Hollyhock House and Simon Rodia’s Towers in Watts. He has organized exhibitions for the Los Angeles Municipal Arts Gallery at Barnsdall Park, lectured and advised private collectors.
The editor of the book, “Landmark L.A.: Historic-Cultural Monuments of Los Angeles” was schooled in the decorative arts and collects Aesthetic Movement American silver and ceramics by the early 20th century Pasadena ceramicist Ernest Batchelder.

The free lectures, now in its 10th year, are supported by the Friends of the Los Feliz Library and merchants of the Los Feliz BID.
