Two John Marshall High School graduating seniors are the recipients of LFIA’s Tom LaBonge and Lynne T. Jewell Scholarships. It’s always a difficult task for LFIA to choose the winners as all the applicants were exceptional. Here are the 2025 winners.
Tom LaBonge Leadership Scholarship
The Tom LaBonge Leadership Scholarship is awarded to a college-bound senior with financial need who demonstrates a strong commitment to leadership, community service and academic achievement. This year’s winner is Andy Kwon. Andy will be joining the Fall 2025 class at Carnegie Mellon University where he plans to study Engineering.
Lynne T. Jewell Scholarship
Jeanna Talavera is this year’s Lynne T. Jewell Scholarship recipient. This award supports college-bound seniors with financial need who plan to major in humanities-related liberal arts fields. Jeanna will be heading to Rochester Institute of Technology this fall where she will focus her studies on American Sign Language.
Congratulations!
