2023 MARSHALL HIGH SENIOR COLLEGE AWARDS
Tom LaBonge Scholarship $2,500
Established in 2021 in honor of John Marshall High School graduate and football player Tom LaBonge. LaBonge spent nearly four decades in public service including serving as our CD4 councilmember from 2001 to 2015. He was an advocate for Griffith Park, a beloved neighborhood friend, and a dedicated Marshall Barrister.
Charlotte De Armond Scholarship $2,500
Established in 2010 in honor of Charlotte De Armond, a distinguished civic leader whose accomplishments blazed trails for women. The public-relations executive was co-winner of an Academy Award Live Action Short film on children’s rights. She served as president and chair of the LFIA Board from 1997 to 2006.
These two awards are for college-bound seniors with financial need who demonstrate a strong commitment to leadership, community service and academic achievement. The recipients will be announced at the JMHS Senior Awards Ceremony in June. To apply, please fill out this Scholarship Application which will allow you to be eligible for either award.
ELIGIBILITY: Any Marshall High School graduating senior admitted to a four (4) year or two (2) year college or university. Proof of admission required before receiving the award.
3.0 Minimum GPA
Participation and leadership in community service
Minimum one letter of recommendation, maximum of three letters
Demonstrates financial need.

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT: MAY 20, 2023 at 5 pm.
The 2023 LFIA scholarship recipients will be announced at the Marshall High School Senior Awards Ceremony and on LFIA’s social media.
