Los Angeles Magazine columnist Chris Nichols will speak on bowling alley architecture design at the Architecture&Beyond Lecture Series, Thursday, April 17, 6:45-7:45 p.m. at the Los Feliz Library, 1874 Hillhurst Ave.
Nichols curated the exhibition “Bowlarama: California Bowling Architecture 1954-1964” at the A+D Architecture and Design Museum which is on display through May 11th. An expert in modern architecture and LA history, he pens the magazine’s popular “Ask Chris” column and is author of a book on Wayne McAllister, who specialized in Googie-style architecture.
Skylight Books will have copies of architecture-related books for purchase.
The free lectures, now in its 10th year, are supported by the Friends of the Los Feliz Library and merchants of the Los Feliz BID.
