A panel discussion followed by audience questions is going to be featured at the LFIA Fall General Meeting. With the expansion of many beloved attractions in the park, how does modern Los Angeles continue to uphold Colonel Griffith’s condition that the Park be an Urban Wilderness for passive, accessible recreation?

Our panelists include : Councilmember and park enthusiast Tom LaBonge – City Counsel District Four; Deputy Director Mark Pine – Griffith Observatory (also representing the Los Angeles Department of Recreation & Parks); CEO and President John Gray – Autry National Center; John Lewis, Zoo Director – the Los Angeles Zoo; and Valerie Vanaman – Griffith Park Master Plan Working Group.
