“Avocado Trees”

Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument #343, declared 01/22/88.

Avocado trees line the 4400 block of Avocado Street between Hillhurst and Commonwealth Avenues.  The trees were planted by Franciscan missionaries in the late 19th/early 20th century.
