This Gothic Norman home with steeply pitched shingled rooflines and tower was an inspiration of one of the most important architects of the early 20th century, Gordon B. Kaufmann, who also designed the Hoover Dam, the LA Times building, Greystone Manor in Beverly Hills, Santa Anita Horse Race Park, and the Adophe Menjou residence in Los Feliz. It has recently been the residence of a series of celebrity entertainers: jazz pianist Chick Corea and his wife, singer Gayle Moran in the 1990s; and actors Dermot Mulroony and Catherine Keener later in the same decade. Its first owner was Dr. Isaac Jones, a well respected otolaryngologist. (Donald Seligman)
