About
History:
The property was built in 1923 by Mrs. Janetta Weir, who was from Solano County, CA. The address of the house at that time was 5040 Ambrose Ave. (the address was changed to 5100 Ambrose in 1924) and, according to the 1923 building permit, the architect of the house was Harley S. Bradley. Mrs. Weir passed away and the house was bought in 1926 by Clarence E. Olmsted and his family. Mr. Olmsted was an oil executive who was President and General Manager of The Texas Company, which was Texaco’s corporate name. In 1933, according to two building permits, Mr. Olmsted brought in the architect H. Roy Kelley to make additions and changes to the house. (Source: 2007 owner Ron Burch)
