History:

Vernon Spenser taught at the Sterns Conservatory of Music in Berlin 1908-1911, and then took on the position of Director at Nebraska Weslayan University Conservatory. This was followed as Assistant Professor of music at the University of California, Southern Branch beginning in 1922.
