History:

4443 W. Russell Avenue was the home of actor Edward G. Hearn at the time of the 1920 census. Edward Hearn was born in 1888 in Dayton, Washington. His film acting career began in 1916 and ended nearly four decades later in 1955. He had starring male leads during the silent era, but he was more often relegated to supporting and then minor roles in sound pictures, often as policemen or military officers. Over his entire career, he had appeared in an astonishing 374 productions. He passed away in 1963 in Los Angeles, California.
