“Each of these eight units is a miniature Norman cottage.  A matching tower stands at the rear to provide visual focus. Dilapidated and ignored for decades, the cottages and courtyard are now pristine and the subjects of love and urban lore.  Because Walt Disney’s Hyperion studio was 600-feet away when these were built, there have been reports that Disney either built or owned these.  In fact, ownership of this location was never connected to Disney.”  (Source:  An Architectural Guidebook to Los Angeles, revised by Robert Winter and Robert Inman, Angel City Press, 2018)
