History:
Extensive file in LFIA History Committee records. Original owner, Charles Seyler Junior was born in Wilmington, CA, 1/14/1878 to Charles and Pauline. Two portraits of his father are in the collection of the Los Angeles Library. Junior graduated from Los Angeles High School in 1886 and the University of California in 1900. He was a claims adjuster for Southern Pacific Co. from 1899 to 1903. He was engaged in several insurance businesses from 1903 to the 1920s. (Source: Men of California Who’s Who in Pacific).
