History:

Gary Cooper and Lupe Velez were residents prior to 1936 when the Caldwells bought the home. They invested in the Oaks area land, selling to Russ Vincent. The Caldwells developed Hollywood Oasis in 1960. (Source: Gwendolyn G. Caldwell on oral history tape 4/15/93.)
