History:

This residence was built for Hamlin Garland, a Pulitzer Prize winning author and famous historian. Cecil B. DeMille purchased the house for his daughter, Kathryn, when she married actor Anthony Quinn in 1950. The architect, Harley S. Bradley, is renowned, especially for hillside architecture.
