History:
The owner of this Spanish style home in 1930 was Le Roy J. Prinz, a prominent dancing instructor. Prinz began his career in Europe staging production numbers for Paris’ Folies Bergere and for Viennese impresario Max Reinhardt in the 1920s. He came to Los Angeles in 1929 to work as a dance director in movie musicals in a long association with director Cecil B. DeMille. Prinz was nominated for three Academy awards and was involved in over 200 movies. (Donald Seligman)
