History:

Leonard J. Jones was a prominent architect known especially for hotels and apartments, but he also dabbled in designing movie theaters in Los Angeles. One of his most famous works is the Castle Argyle apartments at Franklin and Argyle. This Spanish Revival home was the residence of J. Frank Williams, a renowned sportsman who owned racing stables.
