History:
Residence of Louis Heaton Roseberry in 1930s, Vice-President and Manager of Trust Department, Security Trust and Savings Bank. Born February 5, 1880 at Oakland, California, and after attending public schools entered the Stanford University, graduated with A.B. degree in 1903 and was admitted to the bar in 1904. Entered practice in Santa Barbara. He came to Los Angeles in 1912, from Santa Barbara. Married Miss Mae Kennedy of Hollywood, California on December 5, 1930, at Riverside. Mrs. Roseberry died October 25, 1931. Two children survive: Patricia and Bonnie Lou. In addition to his legal work in the financial field, Mr. Roseberry served as Attorney for the State Board of Health from 1911 to 1915, and while serving as State Senator from the 33rd district, he wrote the California Employers Liability Act, passed in 1911. He is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of California, and Los Angeles County Bar Association, Society of Sons of the American Revolution, California, Los Angeles Country Club, University and the Beach Clubs. Louis Roseberry was a recognized authority on trust and banking law, and was Vice-President, Counsel and Director of the Security Trust and Savings Bank of Los Angeles. He was active in the American Bankers Association, and sponsored the Trust Section of the California Bankers Association, serving four years as its first Chairman. Roseberry also served as Attorney for the State Board of Health from 1911 to 1915, and also served as State Senator from the 33rd District.
