LFIA immediate past president and local historian, Don Seligman, will present “Movie Night 3” at the Autry National Center, the third LFIA membership forum of 2013, on Monday evening, October 14, 2013. The show will focus on the film industry luminaries who lived in Los Feliz and worked at Los Feliz film studios during the Silent Film Era. The slide show will include 21 film clips of local productions from the silent period.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. with refreshments supplied by Home Restaurant, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, and Albertsons. Seligman’s latest book, “Los Feliz and the Silent Film Era” will be available for purchase and he will also sign books for those who ask. All proceeds from the book sales will be given to the Los Feliz Improvement Association, and thus will be filtered back into the community through projects that maintain and beautify the neighborhood.
Past LFIA Movie Nights have been among the most popular of all events hosted by the association, so it is recommended that attendees arrive early to take advantage of all the refreshments and programming.
