September 21, 2023 (Thursday)
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Location: Los Feliz Library
LA photographer extraordinaire Gary Leonard will talk on “LA at Large” Thursday, Sept. 21, from 7-8 p.m. at the Architecture&Beyond Lecture Series at the Los Feliz Library, 1874 Hillhurst Ave.
Note: This marks the first time since 2020 that the A&B event will be held in person.
For the past 60 years, Leonard has captured the people and places of Los Angeles. He has photographed just about anything happening in the city from events, architecture, construction projects, birthdays, weddings, music, art and politics. As he says, he’s chronicled the “magical and mundane” on the streets of LA.
Leonard, who grew up in Encino and now lives in Echo Park, first made a name for himself covering the emerging punk rock scene in LA in the ‘70s and ‘80s.
The Architecture&Beyond Lecture Series is free and open to the public.
