Darrell Kunitomi in Globe Lobby at former LA Times downtown headquarters

Get an inside look at the history of the Los Angeles Times from newspaper historian Darrell Kunitomi on Thursday, Nov. 10, from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Architecture&Beyond Virtual Lecture Series with the Los Feliz Library.

Mixed with fascinating historical gems, Kunitomi, who has been The Times’ tour guide for the past four decades, will chronicle the history and influence of The Times from 1881 to present day.  His multi-media presentation features vintage photos as well as background on the Chandler publishing family when they lived in Los Feliz.

In addition to serving as the long-time historian and tour guide for the LA Times, Kunitomi is an actor who performs in LA theaters and can be seen in TV commercials.
